are you a communist? are you what they so delicately called, during the McCarthy Hearings of the early to mid 1950's which later were central in being charged with persecuting innocent North Americans { The people of Turtle Island} of being communists infiltrators or Communists sympathizers. Senator Joseph McCarthy chaired the hearings. Please see more through Wickepedia at www.SenatorJosephMcCarthyHearings.COM The simple word communist is still red-hot and over-charged by the Big-Money media with images of a red devil coming after our democracy and our Turtle Island profit-driven financial system to do us in. Well there they go again. a Capitalist is, according to the American Heritiage dictionary 1 `` a supporter of Capitalism. 2 ``an investor of Capital in business. 3 `` a person of great wealth.'' Personally I like the third definition. Images of the Red Army spring into life when our Western-educated minds think of the word Communists. Heritage dictionary, says communism is 1 An economic system characterized by collective ownership of property and by the organization of labor for common advantage.'' The word Communityism sounds a great deal less intense and threatening once we look at its definition. All the hatred, bullets, hot media rhetoric , and the like fades quickly as we replace it with the truth. My feeling is that Black people Internationally when unchained by a system like Capitalism, tend to choose a system that is more people-friendly an people - oriented and more bent towards sharing as opposed to a more exploitative system. https://solidarity-us.org/atc/84/p928/
https://www.economist.com/prospero/2016/03/02/what-the-communists-left-in-africa Saying this does make me a BLACK man who likes to stop, read, listen and think more so than get whipped up into a frenzy of political hot-headedness and think only along ideological lines or the usually meaningless Party lines of political parties. This holds especially true when one is talking about the Republican party and the Democratic Party of Turtle Island https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKdbZglu1jU&list=PLVzFJ7fmv6-4TKASZ6xZjtEQ6qP9_YO8eeQUALLY IMPORTANT, LET'S LOOK AT THE WORD COMMUNITY. The American Heritage Dictionary calls COMMUNITY 1 ``A group of people living in the same locality and having the same government ( LOOK Up Again)! 1 A Group of people having common interests.'' We always hear about ``the Black Community' s issues,'' and those issues always seem to be pitted against the ``general'' community's issues. I employ you to thin of community's issues as one in the same. The Black community wants safe, clean, effective schools, affordable housing, effective responsible police, access to a people-friendly technology and clean streets. If you took a wide survey of the general population of any given Turtle Island city you will find considerable overlapping regarding the interests and concerns for a number of issues including a number of issues mentioned here. Let's take the word community-ist as opposed to the word communist. You will not find the word community-ist in the American Heritage dictionary in such a case I'll do what Black people have often had to do with the English language when a word or term doesn't suite them, bend it into something that works better. A community-ist is a person who LOVes the community they live in and wants to help make that community flourish for all the people living in that community. He wants to see the community work for everybody living in the community regardless if those people are from the BLACK community or if they are a little different. he wants to see women, men, of all races and colors and he wants to see straight people and gay people and he wants everyone to be happy. There are also people in communities who outside forces try to force out of the community to make room for their group. This is unfair and unjust to any community-ist and He will work against this. It is about sharing and who was on the land or in the community first as indigenous people. Gentrification is an issues facing many people in inner cities. Black people have been hampered by this too much and the resistance is building and getting heated as temper flair This is why I have consistently said we as Black people must take care of our community and make sure we are, as Black people, able to build a solid economic foundation for Black people, not for everyone else who wants to come in and take our money without offering jobs, greater stability for Black people and so forth.
